A’Sharqiyah University (ASU) invites applications for the
position of Deputy Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and
Research (DVCAAR), effective Fall 2020. As the University’s chief
academic officer, the DVCAAR reports to the Vice Chancellor and
provides leadership in all academic matters and research by
maintaining and advancing the University's academic profile,
budgeting and resource allocation, leading institutional
accreditation, building partnerships with the local industries, and
providing effective management of faculty and staff.
ASU consists of five colleges, enrolls over 3,600 students and
has 95 full-time faculty members. In 2017, the University moved
into a new state-of-the-art campus with outstanding facilities for
students and faculty.

A minimum of 10 years’ experience of which five years in an
academic administration position, preferably as dean or deputy vice
